Hello, Overwatch Players!
Overwatch is at its best when played with teammates who play their main roles and use voice comms to coordinate and achieve victory! That's why we introduced Ranked PUGs, a new 5v5 competitive queue where players use voice comms, put in more effort to win, and most importantly, have fun with like-minded teammates!
Over the past few weeks, we've listened closely to your feedback and conducted two experiments: solo/duo queue and 24/7 queue availability. After analyzing the results, we've decided to conclude these experiments to enhance balance and game quality and also reduce queue times. During this experimental phase, we noticed that solo player satisfaction wasn't meeting our expectations compared to those playing in parties. Solo players also expressed concerns about unbalanced matches, long queue times and being matched against 5-stack teams.
This is why we have decided that, starting tomorrow, we're returning to the essence of Ranked PUGs by allowing all Overwatch PC players from NA and EMEA, regardless of their rank, to join or create a group of players either through the Party Finder (aka LFG system) or by joining a Club (aka MMO Guilds), from 3 PM CEST/ET until 3 AM CEST/ET. We've chosen this time slot because most Ranked PUGs games occur during this period, ensuring that Ranked PUGs are available when players are ready to play! By allowing Overwatch players to play during a limited period and using the Party Finder or Clubs to form a party, we believe this will greatly improve match quality and reduce queue times, so you can have a better Ranked PUGs experience.
We can only recommend that you join a Club to play with players who share your passion, speak your language, and use voice comms in every match so you can experience fun and unforgettable moments. With Clubs, you’ll compete against one another in the Club Rankings, and only the best ones will earn their lion share of $15k!
To conclude this patch notes, there are up to 165,000 Overwatch coins, 36 million FACEIT points, and some exclusive FACEIT cosmetics up for grabs in the ladders and our missions.
We expect to see you tonight to play Ranked PUGs and grab some rewards!
The FACEIT Team!
